Bernd Meister named new Head of Corporate Banking at UniCredit Bank Austria; Christian Strobel-Ludwig named Regional Director for Styria
Bernd Meister has been heading up corporate banking at UniCredit Bank Austria since March 2021, reporting directly to Susanne Wendler, Member of the Management Board of UniCredit Bank Austria, "Unternehmerbank". He is familiar with all aspects of the Corporate Customers business and his expertise is highly valued within our company. Born in Leoben, Styria, he began his career some 30 years ago with the bank's Private Customers business in Vienna. Following roles in risk, treasury and foreign business, he moved to Graz, where he was the Regional Director for corporate banking in Styria for 15 years. Throughout his many years as a sales manager, Bernd Meister has built up a detailed understanding of the corporate banking business. Bernd Meister also lectures, most recently at FH Joanneum University of Applied Sciences.
Bernd Meister's work will focus on developing and expanding growth projects for the bank within the corporate customers business.
Christian Strobel-Ludwig succeeds Bernd Meister in the role of Regional Director for corporate banking in Styria with effect from 1 May 2021. "This position entails a great deal of responsibility, and in Christian Strobel-Ludwig we have secured the skills of a sales professional offering many years of experience within our company. With his extensive banking background and his experience as a key account manager, he truly knows the business and the needs of our customers in Styria and will help to consolidate and shape the success story of UniCredit Bank Austria", says Wendler.
Born in Graz, he has worked in the bank's Corporate Customers business for around 26 years. He began his career in risk management and then expanded his professional expertise by specialising in export financing, investment financing and project financing. Most recently, Christian Strobel-Ludwig was a corporate customer relationship manager in Styria, a role in which he spent 15 years taking care of high-profile customers. Christian Strobel-Ludwig has a degree in economics with a specialism in marketing and sales.
