UniCredit Bank Austria confers "Student of the Year in Management and Economics" award
- The prize, which has been awarded by the Bank Austria Sponsoring Foundation since 1999, is again going to students of the Bachelor's programme in Economics - Management and Economics at the University of Innsbruck.
Alexandra Felderer, a student of International Economics, receives the "Student of the Year in Management and Economics" prize of the Bank Austria Förderstiftung, worth 1,500 euros. Recognition prizes of 500 euros each go to Kristian Babic, Marina Farbmacher, Elena Christina Köchl and David Stigger. The "Student of the Year in Management and Economics" award has been presented to students at the University of Innsbruck since 1999.
The winners are selected by the Board of Trustees of the Bank Austria Förderstiftung, which also includes Dieter Hengl, Member of the Management Board of UniCredit Bank Austria responsible for Corporates. "We are proud that we have been supporting Tyrolean students with this award for so many years as part of our social commitment," says Hengl. "From our point of view, the award excellently combines regionality and internationality and thus also reflects our self-image as a successful pan-European commercial bank."
Students of the Bachelor's programme "Economics - Management and Economics", which is offered by the faculties of Business Administration and Economics and Statistics at the University of Innsbruck, can apply for the prize. In addition to very good academic performance, students' social commitment is also a prerequisite for this award.
"For me, social commitment is a very important criterion, which is an important part of our corporate culture in addition to our international orientation and strong regional roots. We also set these priorities in Tyrol and this prize for Tyrolean students is a nice sign of this," says Daniel Hechl, Deputy Regional Director of Corporate Customers Tyrol at UniCredit Bank Austria, who presented the prizes together with Rector Tilmann Märk, Annette Ostendorf, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, and Markus Walzl, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Statistics, at a ceremony at the University of Innsbruck.
