Case Study Competition on customers’ digital engagement concluded successfully
- The “top 3” teams were awarded with an internship at UniCredit Bank Austria, as well as cash prizes
- The competition was organised in cooperation with the students’ organisation “AIESEC in Austria”
UniCredit Bank Austria, in cooperation with the students’ organisation “AIESEC in Austria”, has held a case study competition on customers’ digital engagement. The goal of this initiative was to find innovative and creative ways to further increase the digital engagement of bank customers through all age groups. Students were invited to develop their ideas and insights in the form of a case study and submit it, with the final event taking place in Vienna on 24 May. A total of 14 teams took part in the competition, 8 of which were invited to the final event.
The “top 3” teams were awarded with an internship at UniCredit Bank Austria, as well as cash prizes:
- 1st place winners: Isufi Redis and Copa Redion who suggested to create an alternative version of the MobileBanking App made specifically for seniors and/or persons with disabilities, with individuals being able to switch directly between the standard version and the simplified version. This solution would create a low entry barrier for these customer groups. Further solutions include smart ATMs that integrate AI in their chatbots, as well as integrating the user interface of the MobileBanking App with the UI of the ATM, to create a seamless user experience.
- 2nd place winners: Tsveta Hristova and Tanya Ilieva who had the idea of visualising their solutions regarding needs of customers aged 55+ age by creating a character. During their case study, this winning team was able to gather a deeper understanding of how challenging and interesting work in the real-world banking business can be and to learn more about complexities in the financial sector.
- 3rd place winner: Nikolay Besseda who thought through how gamification could be one of the main solutions, stressing that from the customers’ point of view seeing something new and refreshing like that in the MobileBanking App is truly an unforgettable experience. He also underlined that some of the banks that have already implemented this solution successfully were growing not only locally but also internationally.
