Jochen Hauser new Data Protection Officer at UniCredit Bank Austria

Jochen Hauser was appointed Data Protection Officer of UniCredit Bank Austria. In this role, he succeeds Franz Zoufal, who has retired after 35 years at UniCredit Bank Austria and more than five years as Data Protection Officer.

Robert Zadrazil, CEO of UniCredit Bank Austria: “With Jochen Hauser, we have been able to fill the position of Data Protection Officer with a proven expert from our own organisation who has many years of experience in designing data processes for finance and risk. He is therefore ideally qualified to take responsibility for the essential function of data protection in the course of the digital transformation. At the same time, I would like to thank Franz Zoufal for his expertise and his great commitment over so many years. I wish Jochen Hauser every success in his new role and Franz Zoufal all the best for this new chapter in his life.”

Jochen Hauser has more than 26 years of experience in the financial sector. Since joining UniCredit Bank Austria in 1998, he has held various management positions within UniCredit Bank Austria, but also at holding company level, primarily in the areas of finance and digital. Particularly in his last roles as Chief Data Officer of UniCredit Bank Austria and as Head of Data & Intelligence for Central and Eastern Europe, he made a significant contribution to shaping the data strategy within the UniCredit Group. His core tasks included the efficient design and management of data processes and digital transformation in order to manage the significant changes in regulatory and legal requirements for financial institutions.
