Management change at UniCredit Bank Austria

  • Robert Zadrazil becomes Country Manager in Austria - with Ivan Vlaho, former CEO of Zagrebacka Banka to become new CEO

Austria is increasingly becoming a key player in UniCredit’s CEE markets and is an important driver of UniCredit’s financial success. In order to capitalise on the recent success and maintain the profitable growth strategy in Austria, the previous CEO, Robert Zadrazil, will take on a new key function in the Group moving to become Country Manager in Austria. Replacing him as CEO will be Ivan Vlaho, who will be appointed CEO of UniCredit Bank Austria effective as of May 1st 2024 subject to regulatory approvals, further strengthening UniCredit Bank Austria’s strong position in the market.
 
As Country Manager Austria, Robert Zadrazil will represent UniCredit in Austria. He will be responsible for important communication with all relevant stakeholders and institutions. Zadrazil will support customer relationship management and maintain relationships and cooperations with important existing and new customers, particularly in the corporate and private banking segment.

Ivan Vlaho who was most recently CEO of UniCredit Zagrebacka Banka will assume this position in addition to his role as Deputy Head of the CEE region. He will be succeeded in his current role by Dalibor Cubela, currently Deputy CEO in Bulgaria.

 Ivan Vlaho will assume the position of CEO of UniCredit Bank Austria, subject to regulatory approval, and will work closely with Robert Zadrazil. Ivan Vlaho will assume this position in addition to his role as Deputy Head of the CEE region and will hand over the role of CEO of Zagrebacka Banka to Dalibor Cubela.
