UniCredit Bank Austria presents “Student of the Year in Management and Economics” award
- The prize, which has been awarded by the Bank Austria Sponsoring Foundation since 1999, will again be awarded this year to students on the bachelor's programme in Economics -Management and Economics at the University of Innsbruck
Jakob Walser receives the “Student of the Year in Management and Economics” award of the Bank Austria Sponsoring Foundation, which is endowed with 2,000 euros. Recognition prizes of 500 euros each go to Amelie Fell and David Neumayr. The “Student of the Year in Management and Economics” award has been presented to students at the University of Innsbruck since 1999.
The award winners are selected by the Board of Trustees of the Bank Austria Sponsoring Foundation, which also includes Dieter Hengl, Board Member responsible for Corporates at UniCredit Bank Austria. “We are proud that we have been supporting Tyrolean students with this award for so many years as part of our social commitment,” says Hengl. “From our point of view, the award is an excellent combination of regionalism and internationalism and thus also reflects our self-image as a successful pan-European commercial bank.”
The award is open to students of the bachelor’s programme in Business Administration and Economics, which is offered by the Faculties of Business Administration and Economics and Statistics at the University of Innsbruck. In addition to excellent academic performance, students must also demonstrate social and community involvement.

We also focus on these priorities in Tyrol and this award for students at the University of Innsbruck is a wonderful symbol of this “, says Daniel Hechl, Deputy Regional Director Corporate Clients Tyrol at UniCredit Bank Austria , who presented the prizes together with Annette Ostendorf, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, Markus Walzl, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Statistics, and Christian Mathes, Vice-Rector for Finance and Infrastructure, at a ceremony at the University of Innsbruck.
