The severe weather and flood disaster caused great destruction in Austria. To help very quickly, UniCredit Bank Austria is supporting affected customers and companies and has put together an emergency flood aid package. As immediate financing, UniCredit Bank Austria is offering affected private customers and companies an overdraft facility of up to 50,000 euros with a fixed debit interest rate of 2 per cent p.a. and a term of 24 months.

Ivan Vlaho, CEO of UniCredit Bank Austria, emphasises: “The flood disaster has caused a great deal of destruction and suffering. Especially in times like these, it is important to stand together and support each other. That's why UniCredit Bank Austria has put together an emergency aid package to help the affected customers and companies quickly and unbureaucratically.”

Unbureaucratic processing
Customers affected by flooding can apply for financing quickly and unbureaucratically in the branch or online in 24You or via the MobileBanking app via the advisor contact, on presentation of a written confirmation of damage from the city or municipality or a damage report to the insurance company. There are no processing or account management fees, provided that the financing is affordable.

Deferral of repayments for current housing loans
In addition, UniCredit Bank Austria is offering affected customers a 12-month deferral for current housing loans, i.e. a suspension of capital repayments and an extension of the loan term by 12 months. No further credit check is necessary for this.

Flood remediation aid
In addition, UniCredit Bank Austria offers flood recovery assistance with housing financing as well as financing for companies for higher loan amounts and with individual terms. UniCredit Bank Austria thus provides unbureaucratic and rapid financial support to quickly repair the worst damage and provide rapid financial relief to cushion the immediate consequences of the flood damage.

UniCredit Bank Austria supports donation campaign “Österreich hilft Österreich”
UniCredit Bank Austria also actively supports the “Österreich hilft Österreich” fundraising campaign, a joint initiative of Austria's leading aid organisations in cooperation with ORF, on all available channels, online, mobile, on social media, on its website and in its branches. It is implemented by the aid organisations Caritas, Diakonie, Hilfswerk Österreich, Österreichisches Rotes Kreuz, Samariterbund and Volkshilfe in all federal states. As always, all donations to charitable organisations are free of charge at UniCredit Bank Austria.

Time off work and doubling of employee donations
UniCredit Bank Austria will double the total amount of all donations made by its employees by 15 October 2024. In addition, UniCredit Bank Austria will grant time off for colleagues who are involved in disaster relief operations in crisis areas as members of an aid organisation.
