  • Bank Austria Social Prize will be awarded for the 15th time in 2024
  • The total funding amounts is 90,000 euros, with EUR 10,000 being awarded to three projects per federal state
  • Applications for social projects and initiatives are open from from 24 April to 13 May 2024

Robert Zadrazil, Chairman of the Management Board of UniCredit Bank Austria: "In view of the many social and economic challenges, it is particularly important for Bank Austria to emphasise the importance of charitable initiatives and to support their activities. That is why this year, for the 15th time in a row, we are honouring outstanding social projects from all over Austria with the Bank Austria Social Prize. I am looking forward to many exciting submissions - and especially to projects focusing on education and training, which are particularly close to our hearts throughout UniCredit Group, as we have long been committed to equal and fair educational opportunities for children and young people throughout Europe."

Total funding amount of EUR 90,000
The prize money totaling EUR 90,000 is divided equally among all the federal states. A regional jury of experts makes the preliminary selection and chooses three finalists per federal state from the total number of entries. The final placings are decided by the public, who can vote online on the Bank Austria Social Prize website. The winning project in each federal state receives EUR 6,000, second place EUR 3,000 and third place EUR 1,000.

"This year, we are again inviting our customers and the general public to vote for the project of their choice on the project website from 8 July to 5 September 2024," says Zadrazil.
