Every 3 December, the rights and concerns of people with disabilities come under the spotlight: on the international day of people with disabilities. Under the motto (and hashtag) #PurpleLightUp, participants promote awareness around the world. Everyone can and should participate.
We are also involved in promoting the interests of people with disabilities. Each of our branches is organised to be accessible well beyond what is required by law. And we belong to the 22 percent of companies in Austria who meet the legally prescribed quota for employees with disabilities. We currently have 250 employees with disabilities working for us.
Disability management for more awareness
In 2010, an internal Disability Management team was created within the group. Its main task is raising the awareness of all employees: Many colleagues without disabilities are often unaware of barriers and discriminatory situations.
